Draper‐ATG3 Interaction Positively Regulates Autophagy to Mediate Silk Gland Degradation in Bombyx mori

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Draper is evolutionarily conserved across most insect species. Loss of Draper inhibits autophagy activation, delaying middle silk gland degradation in the silkworm during metamorphosis. Draper interacts with autophagy ‐ related protein 3 (ATG3) to orchestrate autophagosome formation—a process essential for silk gland degradation during the larval‐pupal

The \u3cem\u3emir-51\u3c/em\u3e Family of MicroRNAs Functions in Diverse Regulatory Pathways in \u3cem\u3eCaenorhbditis elegans\u3c/em\u3e [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
The mir-51 family of microRNAs (miRNAs) in C. elegans are part of the deeply conserved miR-99/100 family. While loss of all six family members (mir-51-56) in C. elegans results in embryonic lethality, loss of individual mir-51 family members results in a

Decoding Dental Stem Cell Aging: Mechanisms, Therapeutic Strategies, and Beyond

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Dental stem cell (DSC) aging involves genomic instability, mitochondrial dysfunction, telomere attrition, and epigenetic alterations, leading to impaired proliferation, reduced differentiation potential, and pro‐inflammatory secretory activity. These processes drive cellular senescence and compromise regenerative and immunomodulatory functions, thereby

Sabotaged Integral HSC Heterogeneity Underlies Essential Thrombocythemia Development

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Single‐cell RNA sequencing (scRNA‐seq) maps how distinct driver mutations remodel hematopoietic stem cell (HSC) programs across essential thrombocythemia (ET). Comparative analysis uncovers both shared and subtype‐specific molecular signatures, identifies a triple‐negative (TN)‐associated HSC population enriched with malignant traits, and reveals the ...

CircSMEK1 Suppresses HCC via the hnRNPK‐IGF2‐AKT Axis: A Diagnostic Biomarker and Therapeutic Target

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
CircSMEK1 is downregulated in MASH/HCC and predicts poor prognosis. It suppresses tumor progression by promoting hnRNPK ubiquitination and inhibiting the IGF2/PI3K/AKT axis, while its loss activates immunosuppressive cancer‐associated fibroblasts. Serum circSMEK1 serves as a non‐invasive diagnostic biomarker, and its restoration potently inhibits HCC ...

Tie2‐Dependent Mechanisms Influence Leptomeningeal Collateral Dynamics and Reperfusion Following Stroke

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This work demonstrates that endothelial EphA4 limits Tie2 activation and curbs leptomeningeal collateral expansion after ischemic stroke. Pharmacological activation of Tie2 by an Ang‐1 mimetic or genetic loss of EphA4 stimulates collateral vessel growth, improves cerebral perfusion, and enhances neurological recovery.
