Green manure crops for low fertility soils [PDF]
Organic crop production is growing, but crop yields are still below potential. The purpose of our project “Nutrients for higher organic yields (NutHY)” is to increase yields and resource efficiency in organic crop production by optimizing nutrient supply.

Alfalfa Snout Beetle, \u3ci\u3eOtiorhynchus Ligustici\u3c/i\u3e L. (Coleoptera: Curculionidae): Methods for Egg Collection and Larval Rearing [PDF]
The alfalfa snout beetle, Otiorhynchus ligustici L., is the most serious pest of alfalfa in northern New York State. Recent research efforts focused on the biological control of this insect require the availability of all life stages.

Enteropathogenic E. coli (EPEC) infects the human intestinal epithelium, resulting in severe illness and diarrhoea. In this study, we compared the infection of cancer‐derived cell lines with human organoid‐derived models of the small intestine. We observed a delayed in attachment, inflammation and cell death on primary cells, indicating that host ...

Nonparametric Bayesian inference for perturbed and orthologous gene regulatory networks [PDF]
Motivation: The generation of time series transcriptomic datasets collected under multiple experimental conditions has proven to be a powerful approach for disentangling complex biological processes, allowing for the reverse engineering of gene ...

Organoids in pediatric cancer research
Organoid technology has revolutionized cancer research, yet its application in pediatric oncology remains limited. Recent advances have enabled the development of pediatric tumor organoids, offering new insights into disease biology, treatment response, and interactions with the tumor microenvironment.

Development Of Reciptures Of Canned Smothies Made From Zucchini And Fruits [PDF]
Rational nutrition for a whole year is possible with a well-established system of storage and processing of plant raw materials. Products with vegetable and fruit raw materials due to their availability and nutritional value are in demand among the ...

Reciprocal control of viral infection and phosphoinositide dynamics
Phosphoinositides, although scarce, regulate key cellular processes, including membrane dynamics and signaling. Viruses exploit these lipids to support their entry, replication, assembly, and egress. The central role of phosphoinositides in infection highlights phosphoinositide metabolism as a promising antiviral target.

Glycosylation is a major regulator of phenylpropanoid availability and biological activity in plants
The phenylpropanoid pathway in plants is responsible for the biosynthesis of a huge amount of secondary metabolites derived from phenylalanine and tyrosine. Both flavonoids and lignins are synthesized at the end of this very diverse metabolic pathway, as

Biological Availability of Commercial Feed Phosphates
Abstract Nine feed grade phosphates were assayed for biological availability to chicks using tibia bone ash as the criterion of availability and phosphoric acid as the reference standard. “Dicalcium phosphates” containing 21% phosphorus were equally available regardless of manufacturer.

GenePath: a System for Automated Construction of Genetic Networks from Mutant Data [PDF]
Motivation: Genetic pathways are often used in the analysis of biological phenomena. In classical genetics, they are constructed manually from experimental data on mutants. The field lacks formalism to guide such analysis, and accounting for all the data
