The extraction and modification of naturally-occurring compounds are widely performed due to their valuable medicinal and physical properties. Herin, we reported the extraction of bis-demethoxycurcumin from Ragbrai turmeric root. The isolated derivative was characterized by X-ray diffraction, IR, and NMR spectroscopy.
