Human Exposures to Bisphenol A, Bisphenol F and Chlorinated Bisphenol A Derivatives and Thyroid Function

open access: yesPLOS ONE, 2016
Although the increasing prevalence of thyroid nodular disease (TND) has been partially attributed to the more frequent usage of improved diagnostics, environmental factors, such as exposures to thyroid-disrupting chemicals may contribute to TND and altered thyroid function.

Quantitative proteomic analysis reveals different characteristics of bladder cancer cells after exposure to bisphenol A

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Bisphenol A (BPA), a common chemical in plastics, exerts dual effects on bladder cancer cells: low doses promote growth and migration, while high doses suppress growth and migration. Multi‐omics and bioinformatics reveal BPA acts via MAPK and inflammatory pathways.

A method validation for simultaneous determination of phthalates and bisphenol A released from plastic water containers [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
Phthalates (or phthalate esters, PAEs) and bisphenol A (BPA) are widely used in various industries, particularly in the fields of cosmetics and packaging, and they increase the malleability and workability of materials.

In Situ Constructed Magnetic Core‐Shell Hydrogen‐Bonded Organic Framework‐on‐Metal–Organic Framework Structure: an Efficient Catalyst for Peroxymonosulfate Activation

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
In this work, a magnetic core‐shell catalyst (HOF‐on‐Fe3O4/ZIF‐67) is successfully synthesized, consisting of a metal–organic framework (ZIF‐67) with magnetic Fe3O4 as the core and a porous hydrogen‐bonded organic framework (HOF) as the shell. The catalyst efficiently activated peroxymonosulfate, resulting in rapid and effective removal of water ...

Application of Eutectic-Solvent-Based Liquid–Liquid Microextraction for Removal of Eight Bisphenols from Water and Industrial Samples

open access: yesMolecules
In this study, new types of eutectic solvents (ESs) are tested for their ability to remove the eight most common bisphenols (BPA, BPB, BPC, BPE, BPF, BPG, BPS, BPAP), which are environmentally monitored substances, from aqueous matrices.

Highly Sensitive Electrochemical Biosensor Based on Hairy Particles with Controllable High Enzyme Loading and Activity

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
For the first time, a highly sensitive electrochemical biosensor based on SiO2‐based hairy particles with a grafted PDMAEMA polymer brush containing a quantifiable and large amount of immobilized Laccase is reported. The fabricated biosensor exhibits a sensitivity of 0.14 A·m⁻¹, a limit of detection (LOD) of 0.1 µm, and a detection range of 0.3–750 µm,

The Catalytic Curing Reaction and Mechanical Properties of a New Composite Resin Matrix Material for Rocket Fuel Storage Tanks

open access: yesApplied Sciences, 2023
In this paper, an equimolar blend of bisphenol A dipropargyl ether and cyanate ester was selected to study the effect of different catalysts on the curing reaction of a bisphenol A dipropargyl ether and cyanate ester blended resin system, and the thermal
