Extreme heat affects blueberry pollen nutrition, bee health, and plant reproduction
Extreme heat events are increasingly common, and if these align with pollen development, they can alter pollen nutrient composition. However, no studies have examined how the timing of heat relative to bud development affects the role of pollen in plant pollination and bee health.

Abstract Introduction Addition of silicate rock powder (SRP) is an increasingly used measure to restore vegetation and fauna on acidified mineral‐poor soils in protected areas. In theory, however, the positive effects of SRP addition on vegetation may be offset by grazing and browsing ungulates attracted to higher‐quality forage.

Abstract This study examined whether consuming a (poly)phenol‐rich food before strenuous muscle‐damaging exercise can modify post‐exercise markers of inflammation and oxidative stress. Using a double‐blinded, randomised, placebo‐controlled, between‐subjects design, 26 recreationally active males (n = 15) and females (n = 11) consumed higher‐(poly ...

Genomic characterization and survey of a second luteovirus infecting blueberries
New and emerging viral problems may be contributing to blueberry decline. In this research we described a new virus detected in Oregon blueberry production field and surveyed the region for its potential spread. The complete genome sequence of a putative

SMART: Speedy Measurement of Arabidopsis Rosette Traits
Abstract Most computer vision‐ and machine learning‐based plant phenotyping systems compute traits such as shape and size rather than the color distribution of the plant surface, even though color can provide important insights into plant physiology. Therefore, we developed Speedy Measurement of Arabidopsis Rosette Traits (SMART), an open‐source plant ...

Non‐Tariff Measures and U.S. Agricultural Exports
Abstract How much do non‐tariff measures (NTMs) affect U.S. agricultural exports? While countries maintain a large and diverse set of NTMs to safeguard the health of plants, animals, and humans, policymakers and regulatory bodies may neglect the impact these measures have on international trade.
