Evaluation of Tumor-Targeting Properties of an Antagonistic Bombesin Analogue RM26 Conjugated with a Non-Residualizing Radioiodine Label Comparison with a Radiometal-Labelled Counterpart

open access: yesPharmaceutics, 2019
Radiolabelled antagonistic bombesin analogues are successfully used for targeting of gastrin-releasing peptide receptors (GRPR) that are overexpressed in prostate cancer. Internalization of antagonistic bombesin analogues is slow.

BLOCKADE OF ROSTRAL VENTROLATERAL MEDULLA (RVLM) BOMBESIN RECEPTOR TYPE 1 DECREASES BLOOD PRESSURE AND SYMPATHETIC ACTIVITY IN ANESTHETIZED SPONTANEOUSLY HYPERTENSIVE RATS

open access: yesFrontiers in Physiology, 2016
IIntrathecal injection of bombesin (BBS) promoted hypertensive and sympathoexcitatory effects in normotensive (NT) rats. However, the involvement of rostral ventrolateral medulla (RVLM) in these responses is still unclear.

Neurotransmitters and putative neuromodulators in the gut of Anguilla anguilla (L.). Localizations in the enteric nervous and endocrine systems

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Histochemistry, 2009
The gut of silver eels (Anguilla anguilla L.) was investigated in order to describe both the cholinergic and adrenergic intramural innervations, and the localization of possible accessory neuromediators.

Bimodal MRI/Fluorescence Nanoparticle Imaging Contrast Agent Targeting Prostate Cancer

open access: yesNanomaterials
We developed a novel site-specific bimodal MRI/fluorescence nanoparticle contrast agent targeting gastrin-releasing peptide receptors (GRPrs), which are overexpressed in aggressive prostate cancers. Biocompatible ultra-small superparamagnetic iron oxide (

There are three distinct forms of bombesin. Identification of [Leu13]bombesin, [Phe13]bombesin, and [Ser3,Arg10,Phe13]bombesin in the frog Bombina orientalis.

open access: yesThe Journal of biological chemistry, 1996
Amphibian bombesin is the prototypic peptide that defines the bombesin-like peptide family. In this paper we show that in the frog Bombina orientalis, there are actually 3 distinct forms of bombesin, and each of these peptides is an agonist with differing affinities for the known bombesin receptors.

Evaluation the effect of neuropeptide of Bombesin on modulation of anxiety reaction in mice

open access: yesمجله دانشگاه علوم پزشکی گرگان, 2007
Background & Objective: Bombesin (BBS) is a tetra-decapeptide amino acid neuropeptide in central nervous system within a variety of mammalian species. Also it has many biological effects that may be effective in modulation of anxiety.
