Kinetic energy density and covalent bonding – a complementary analysis at the border of bond and no bond

Dalton Transactions, 2010
An analysis of the kinetic energy density within a molecule identifies patterns within its electronic structure that are intuitively linked to familiar concepts of chemical bonding.

Analysis of Green Bonds

2022
Issuing its first green federal security in 2020, Germany pioneered a unique twin bond concept to address potential liquidity risks compared to their conventional counterparts. A switch mechanism between green and conventional bonds was introduced that allows debt-neutral sale-and-purchase (switch) transactions by the issuing authority.

Bond performance analysis

The Journal of Portfolio Management, 1991
40 w P erformance analysis focuses on the central goal 9 f: S of investment management: achieving superior performance. Most simply, was the portfolio up or down? More sophisticated, did the portfolio beat the market? Most sophisticated, what specific bets paid off, does the pattern of winning bets show evidence of manager skill, and, given some ...

Techniques for dynamic analysis of bonding wire

Microelectronics Reliability, 2016
Abstract This study describes new experimental techniques for dynamic analysis of bonding wire. The techniques employ a laser Doppler vibrometer (LDV) for non-contact measurement of wire response to transient, impact, and steady-state (harmonic) excitations.

Fracture Analysis of Adhesively Bonded Sheets

Journal of Applied Mechanics, 1976
The problem of adhesively bonded sheets, one of which is cracked, is formulated by the utilization of integral transform methods. The objective of the investigation is to calculate the stress-intensity factor at the crack tip for the cracked sheets. Results are obtained when the cracked sheet has a single crack and an array of identical, equally spaced,

A Continuous Symmetry Analysis of Chemical Bonding

Chemistry – A European Journal, 2011
AbstractThe ability to quantify the symmetry content of a given molecular system is important both for the quantitative prediction of its physical and chemical properties, as well as for the establishment of powerful theoretical concepts that can be derived solely from symmetry considerations. The symmetry content of a complex object such as a molecule

DEM analysis of bonded granular geomaterials

International Journal for Numerical and Analytical Methods in Geomechanics, 2008
AbstractIn this paper, the application of the distinct element method (DEM) to frictional cohesive (c, ϕ) geomaterials is described. A new contact bond model based on the Mohr–Coulomb failure criterion has been implemented in PFC2D. According to this model, the bond strength can be clearly divided into two distinct micromechanical contributions: an ...

Polar Covalent Bonds: An AIM Analysis of S,O Bonds

The Journal of Physical Chemistry A, 2009
The electron distribution for S,O bonds in a wide range of molecules is analyzed using Bader's atoms in molecules theory (AIM) and measures of bond order. It is shown that the electron density and other derived parameters at the bond critical point correlate very well with bond length.

Analysis of Bonded Joints in Vehicular Structures

AIAA Journal, 1973
Abstract : A linear elastic finite-element analysis is used to evaluate the behavior of an adhesive joint bonding a boron/epoxy composite to a metallic substrate. The adhesive layer is treated as a separate elastic medium of finite thick-ness in order to remove the stress singularity that exists when dissimilar materials are joined.

An analysis of non-bonded energy of proteins

Journal of Theoretical Biology, 1977
Abstract Non-bonded energy of 16 proteins was calculated using the atomic co-ordinates obtained by X-ray crystallography. The curve of total energy against the number of atoms in proteins is approximately linear with a slight concaved shape. According to a linear equation to fit the curve, the extrapolated length of a polypeptide chain of a globular ...
