Augmentation of bone formation by sympathectomy in rats as evaluated by [99mTc]Tc-MDP

open access: yesFrontiers in Endocrinology
BackgroundThe role of the sympathetic nervous system in bone metabolism remains unclear. Given that 99mTc-methylene diphosphonate ([99mTc]Tc-MDP) uptake reflects active bone formation and mineralization, this study aims to investigate the effects of ...

Current Topics in Pharmacological Research on Bone Metabolism: Regulation of Bone Mass by the Function of Endogenous Modulators of Bone Morphogenetic Protein in Adult Stage

open access: yesJournal of Pharmacological Sciences, 2006
.: Bone formation in adults determines the basic mass of bone and hence it is crucial to understand the mechanisms of its regulation. As remodeling is proceeding, bone resorption is determined by the physical conditions.

Effect of daidzein on bone formation

open access: yesFrontiers in Bioscience, 2009
The amount of new bone formed in collagen matrix with daidzein was compared to that formed in collagen matrix alone. Eighteen bone defects, 5mm by 10mm were created in parietal bone of 9 New Zealand white rabbits. In the experimental group, 6 defects were grafted with collagen matrix with daidzein.

Prognostic Impact of European LeukemiaNet Genetic Risk Stratification System in Adult Patients With Acute Myeloid Leukemia

open access: yesAging and Cancer, EarlyView.
This study aimed to evaluate the prognostic value of ELN2017 in predicting survival outcomes and to assess the impact of clinical and molecular factors such as age, FLT3 and NPM1 mutations, and allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (allo‐HSCT).

Alveolar Bone Formation by Orthodontic Movement

open access: yes, 2012
Objectives: The ability to move tooth trough alveolar bone is one of the basic principles in orthodontics. Mechanical force generated by orthodontic appliance is transferred to periodontal ligament resulting in the remodeling of alveolar bone.

Aging Is a Key Driver for Adult Acute Myeloid Leukemia

open access: yesAging and Cancer, EarlyView.
Acute myeloid leukemia (AML) is a classical age‐related hematologic malignancy, and a key driver of AML is aging, which profoundly regulates intrinsic factors such as genomic instability, epigenetic reprogramming, and metabolic dysregulation, and alters bone marrow microenvironment.
