ABSTRACT Periodontitis, a chronic inflammatory disease initiated and sustained by plaque microorganisms and host immune response, remains an intractable oral disease and a leading cause of tooth loss worldwide. Traditional mechanical debridement and adjunctive antibiotic or antiseptic therapy often shows limited efficacy due to the complex anatomical ...

NSUN5 is downregulated in hyperuricaemic nephropathy. Overexpression of NSUN5 enhances the stability of SCD1 mRNA through the m5C reader YBX2, ultimately inhibiting ferroptosis in renal tubular epithelial cells. Additionally, this axis suppresses the NF‐κB signaling pathway to alleviate inflammation and upregulates ABCG2 to promote uric acid excretion,

The role of osteoblast cells in the pathogenesis of unicameral bone cysts
PurposeThe pathogenesis of unicameral bone cysts (UBCs) remains largely unknown. Osteoclasts have been implicated, but the role of osteoblastic cells has, to date, not been explored.

Mesenchymal stromal cells (MSCs) show promise for treating immune‐related disorders through immunomodulation and tissue regeneration. This review gives a brief overview of current clinical approval of MSC therapies. It also discussed how bioengineering, including genetic modification, biomaterial delivery, extracellular vesicles, and iPSC‐derived MSCs,

Impact of bone graft harvesting techniques on bone formation and graft resorption: a histomorphometric study in the mandibles of minipigs. [PDF]
BACKGROUND: Harvesting techniques can affect cellular parameters of autogenous bone grafts in vitro. Whether these differences translate to in vivo bone formation, however, remains unknown. OBJECTIVE: The purpose of this study was to assess the impact

Amuc_1473 Links Gut Microbes to Skeletal Homeostasis and Counteracts Multifactorial Osteoporosis
Amuc_1473, a previously uncharacterized protein enriched in Akkermansia muciniphila‐derived extracellular vesicles, is identified as a gut–bone messenger that promotes osteogenesis and inhibits osteoclastogenesis by engaging transcriptional and translational regulators in bone cells.

ESCRT‐Mimetic Nanodegrader Targets STING for Anti‐Inflammatory Therapy
A nanoplatform‐enabled targeted protein degradation strategy is presented to regulate aberrant STING signaling. STING‐ATTEC induces selective autophagic degradation of STING via formation of a STING–ATTEC–LC3 ternary complex, while the cationic FA‐LNP+ system enhances LC3 generation and targeted delivery. Together, this synergistic approach efficiently

Failure of Bone Resorption in a Calf [PDF]
A case report of an anomaly of bone in a newborn calf is presented. The calf had solid bones, devoid of marrow cavities, in the limbs. The solid tissue was mainly unremodelled endochondral bone with some periosteal bone also present. The defect appeared to be a failure in the ability to resorb bone.

A graphene oxide/collagen scaffold is developed for chronic massive rotator cuff tear repair. The scaffold improves compressive stability, supports reparative mesenchymal differentiation, and modulates the immune microenvironment. In chronic MRCT models, it reduces muscle degeneration, enhances tendon–bone regeneration, and improves functional recovery,
