Chelation-Assisted Substrate-Controlled Asymmetric Lithiation-Allylboration of Chiral Carbamate 1,2,4-Butanetriol Acetonide

open access: yesMolecules, 2015
The lithiation of 2-(2,2-dimethyl-1,3-dioxolan-4-yl)ethyl diisopropylcarbamate (1) is achieved freely by sec-butyllithium in diethylether with high lk-diastereoselectivity: the bicyclic chelate complexes 3a and 3b are reacted with electrophiles to form ...

Switchable Magnesium Catalysis: Dehydrogenative Borylation Versus Hydroboration of Terminal Alkynes

open access: yesChemistryEurope
Organoboranes are key intermediates in modern synthetic chemistry, yet their preparation often relies on precious metal catalysts and multistep protocols.

Protonation‐Induced Electron Density Redistribution Facilitates Aggregation in PNNP Dicopper Hydride Complexes

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.
Copper(I) hydride complexes often exhibit diverse aggregation behavior that can profoundly influence their structure and reactivity. In this study we use a combined experimental and computational approach to identify key structural an electronic factors that govern aggregation in PNNP dicopperhydride complexes.

Fluorescent Diarylethenes With Polar Groups: Synthesis, Spectra, and Optical Microscopy Applications

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.
Blinking green and flashing red: photo‐switchable and photo‐activatable probes emitting green and red light were prepared and applied as bioconjugates in super‐resolution optical microscopy. ABSTRACT The use of photoactivatable fluorescent diarylethenes (fDAEs) in biology‐related light microscopy has been restricted by the lack of probes having freely ...

Enantioselective Cu(I)-catalyzed borylative cyclization of enone-tethered cyclohexadienones and mechanistic insights

open access: yesNature Communications, 2022
Rapidly building molecular structures with both elements of complexity and flexibility is a key goal of organic synthesis. Here the authors show a tandem copper-catalyzed β-borylation/Michael addition on prochiral enone-tethered 2,5-cyclohexadienones, to

Accessing Sn≥2 States of a TADF Emitter by Femtosecond NIR Spectroscopy

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.
The depicted thermally activated delayed fluorescence (TADF) emitter was studied by femtosecond near‐infrared (NIR) spectroscopy. A prominent NIR transition was shown to be strongly solvent‐dependent, with implication for intersystem crossing in the compound.

A planar per-borylated digermene

open access: yesDalton Transactions, 2023
A tetraboryl digermene features both a planar ‘alkene-like’ geometry for the Ge2B4 core, and an exceptionally short GeGe double bond, consistent with lowest energy (in silico) fragmentation into two triplet bis(boryl)germylene fragments.

Iron‐Photocatalyzed C(sp3)–H Phosphonylation of Alkanes

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, Volume 138, Issue 26, 22 June 2026.
Alkyl phosphonates are valuable motifs that can be prepared by phosphonylations of various common functional groups. However, direct phosphonylations of C(sp3)–H bonds are limited to activated positions. Herein, we report an iron‐photocatalyzed phosphonylation of unactivated C(sp3)–H bonds using a novel phosphite radical trap, which is equipped with an

Changing N^C^O to C^N^O Coordination in Cyclometalated Pt(II) and Pd(II) Complexes Modulates Stability and Emission Characteristics: Toward Brighter Versatility

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.
A new class of cyclometalated metal complexes with pincer luminophores (C^N^O and N^C^O) is reported. They unite high photoluminescence efficiencies in liquid solutions at r.t. with tunable colors across the visible spectrum and convenient synthetic accessibility.
