Herein, we report the first mechanochemical strategy for the Ru-catalyzed deoxygenative borylation of free phenols via C–O bond cleavage. This Ru-catalyzed phenolic borylation approach has been successfully extended to the Suzuki–Miyaura-type cross ...

A series of thirteen (N‐heterocyclic carbene) NHC‐stabilized borenium cations is synthesized from NHC→BH3 complexes via hydroboration and condensation with diols. The novel compounds are fully characterized. Eight crystal structures are presented. Kinetic and NMR data show how the structural features translate to catalytic activity in hydrosilylation ...

Trialkoxysilane-Induced Iridium-Catalyzed para-Selective C–H Bond Borylation of Arenes
An ideal approach for the construction of aryl boron compounds is to selectively replace a C–H bond in arenes with a C–B bond, and controlling regioselectivity is one of the most challenging aspects of these transformations.

Alkali‐Metal Base Catalyzed Electrocyclization of Isoprene Derivatives
Simple and abundant alkali‐metal base catalysis in combination with Lewis basic polyamines enables the electrocyclization of isoprene‐derived trienes to cycloheptadienes under neat conditions. Mechanistic insight supported by DFT guides a scalable route to seven‐membered carbocycles which, after reduction, give saturated cycloalkanes relevant as ...

Iridium-catalysed regioselective borylation of carboranes via direct B–H activation
Functionalization of the multiple, similar, boron-hydrogen bonds in carboranes is difficult to achieve with selectivity. Here the authors report an iridium-catalysed borylation ofo-carboranes with high yields and regioselectivities.

Fully Reversible Regulation of 8‐17 DNAzyme Activity Using Nucleoside‐Based Diarylethenes
The site‐specific incorporation of nucleosidic diarylethenes into the 8–17 deoxyribozyme (DNAzyme) identified position 2.1 as optimal. Compound dU‐PhtBu enabled efficient light‐dependent control of catalytic activity, while maintaining thermal stability and reversibility.

An orthogonal spirobifluorene‐fusion strategy is introduced for B/N/O‐alternated MR frameworks, enabling improved kRISC (5.46 × 103 s−1), high ΦPL (97%), and narrow‐band pure‐red emission. Vacuum‐evaporated OLEDs incorporating this emitter achieve an EQEmax >40% (FWHM = 36 nm) and exhibit exceptionally low efficiency roll‐off at high luminance ...

Dearomative C2-borylation of indoles
The dearomative functionalization of indoles to C2-borylated indolenium compounds is achieved under mild conditions by leveraging the high Lewis acidity of bis(1-methyl- ortho -carobranyl)borane.
