Microvia Fill Process Boundary Control

IFAC Proceedings Volumes, 2014
This paper presents an exponentially stabilizing boundary control for the microvia fill process. The control accounts for the mass balance of the copper ions in the electrolyte and for the surface mass balance of the deposition-blocking additives, both modeled with a diffusion mass transfer model in a shape changing domain.

Boundary Control Applications

2000
In this chapter, we present boundary control strategies for reducing vibration in three different engineering applications of flexible mechanical systems. Two of these applications will share the interesting characteristic of having flexible and rigid subsystems, which leads to hybrid dynamic models containing coupled PDEs and ODEs.

Boundary Control Systems

2012
In this chapter we are in particular interested in systems with a control at the boundary of their spatial domain. We show that these systems have well-defined solutions provided the input is sufficiently smooth.

Boundary Observers for Boundary Control Systems

2020
The paper studies the output observation problem for a class of linear distributed parameter systems where both the plant and the observer are modelled as boundary input/output systems. The presented results provide sufficient conditions for the plant and the observer which guarantee the asymptotic output observation to hold.

Boundary Control Method

2020
As we have seen above, the theory of Gel’fand–Levitan–Marchenko deals with stationary solutions of Schrodinger equations, and uses analytic properties with respect to energy of its spectral data. In the early stage of the study of one-dimensional inverse problems, M. G. Krein proposed an approach to inverse problems for the wave equation.

Boundary Control Systems with Yosida Type Approximate Boundary Observation

IFAC Proceedings Volumes, 2013
A model of boundary control system with boundary observation is described and analyzed, which involves no unbounded operator except for the dynamics generator. This model consists of an extended abstract differential equation whose state components are the boundary input, the state (up to an affine transformation) and a Yosida-type approximation of the

Robust controller for boundary control systems

International Journal of Control, 1983
Some basic results of robust controller theory are generalized to distributed parameter systems with unbounded control and perturbation operators. The theory presented is then applied to construct a flow adaptive robust controller for heat exchangers.

Boundary Layer Control

The Journal of the Royal Aeronautical Society, 1955
It has almost become a tradition in recent years to begin a paper on boundary layer by paying a tribute to the great Prandtl and his famous paper in which he introduced the conception of boundary layer into Fluid Dynamics. The year 1954 is, however, not only memorable to mark the passing of fifty years since Prandtl's classical demonstration of the ...

Approximate Controllability of Boundary Control Systems with Nonlinear Boundary Conditions

Applied Mechanics and Materials, 2014
The paper deals with the approximate controllability of a class of nonlinear delayed control systems in which the control is acted through the boundary of the region and the boundary conditions are nonlinear. The approximate controllability result is established provided the approximate controllability of the corresponding linear systems.
