Investigating the cell of origin and novel molecular targets in Merkel cell carcinoma: a historic misnomer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study indicates that Merkel cell carcinoma (MCC) does not originate from Merkel cells, and identifies gene, protein & cellular expression of immune‐linked and neuroendocrine markers in primary and metastatic Merkel cell carcinoma (MCC) tumor samples, linked to Merkel cell polyomavirus (MCPyV) status, with enrichment of B‐cell and other immune cell

Boundedness and long-time behavior in a parabolic-elliptic system arising from biological transport networks

open access: yesAdvances in Nonlinear Analysis
The aim of this article is to consider a three-dimensional Cauchy problem for the parabolic-elliptic system arising from biological transport networks. For such problem, we first establish the global existence, uniqueness, and uniform boundedness of the ...

YAP1::TFE3 mediates endothelial‐to‐mesenchymal plasticity in epithelioid hemangioendothelioma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The YAP1::TFE3 fusion protein drives endothelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition (EndMT) plasticity, resulting in the loss of endothelial characteristics and gain of mesenchymal‐like properties, including resistance to anoikis, increased migratory capacity, and loss of contact growth inhibition in endothelial cells.

BOUNDEDNESS AND EXISTENCE ANALYSIS SOLUTION OF AN OPTIMAL CONTROL PROBLEMS ON MATHEMATICAL COVID-19 MODEL

open access: yesBarekeng
The investigation given right here is part of a literature review on mathematical models that apply analytical mathematics. The present work focuses on the COVID-19 model, which incorporates optimum control variables previously investigated and ...

Emerging role of ARHGAP29 in melanoma cell phenotype switching

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study gives first insights into the role of ARHGAP29 in malignant melanoma. ARHGAP29 was revealed to be connected to tumor cell plasticity, promoting a mesenchymal‐like, invasive phenotype and driving tumor progression. Further, it modulates cell spreading by influencing RhoA/ROCK signaling and affects SMAD2 activity. Rho GTPase‐activating protein

A bioinformatics screen identifies TCF19 as an aggressiveness‐sustaining gene in prostate cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Gene expression meta‐analysis in multiple prostate cancer patient cohorts identifies Transcription factor 19 (TCF19) as an aggressiveness‐sustaining gene with prognostic potential. TCF19 is a gene repressed by androgen signaling that sustains core cancer‐related processes such as vascular permeability or tumor growth and metastasis.

Boundedness for Bloch functions

open access: yesRocky Mountain Journal of Mathematics, 1986
The author considers a crescent G in the unit disc bounded by two circles \[ \{| z| =1\}\cup \{| z-x| =1-x\}\quad for\quad 0\leq x\leq. \] He proves that if f is in \(L^ p(G,dx dy)\) the closure of the (analytic) polynomials on G, and if \(| f(z)| \leq M\) on G then there is a function F, analytic on the unit disc, \(F(z)=f(z)\) for all \(z\in G\) and \

A synthetic benzoxazine dimer derivative targets c‐Myc to inhibit colorectal cancer progression

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Benzoxazine dimer derivatives bind to the bHLH‐LZ region of c‐Myc, disrupting c‐Myc/MAX complexes, which are evaluated from SAR analysis. This increases ubiquitination and reduces cellular c‐Myc. Impairing DNA repair mechanisms is shown through proteomic analysis.
