Autonomous X‐Ray Fluorescence Mapping for Nanoscale Chemical Speciation of Fine Particulate Matter

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Discovery, EarlyView.
We present X‐AutoMap, an autonomous X‐ray fluorescence mapping framework that integrates real‐time analysis with rule‐based computer vision to selectively target chemically relevant regions. By avoiding background‐dominated areas, the method reduces acquisition time by fourfold while enabling accurate particle‐level speciation.

Aspects of wear braking process on brake discs and brake pads in the construction of commercial vehicles

open access: yesANNALS OF THE ORADEA UNIVERSITY. Fascicle of Management and Technological Engineering., 2019
Abstract Economy and low pollution are essential requirements imposed on modern cars. The continuous increase in travel speeds, coupled with the massive increase in the number of vehicles worldwide, has led to the need for the development and use of braking systems to a very high standard. The exploitation of commercial vehicles has as a

Review on the friction and wear of brake materials [PDF]

open access: yesAdvances in Mechanical Engineering, 2016
The friction brake works as an indispensable guarantee for regular work and safety operation of vehicles and industrial equipments. Friction and wear behaviors of brake’s friction materials are considered as an important subject. In this article, friction materials were classified by matrix categories, and their major components were introduced first ...

Scaling and ecomorphology of lagomorph body shape and appendicular skeleton

open access: yesThe Anatomical Record, EarlyView.
Abstract Body shape is one of the most prominent features of phenotypic variation. Yet, mammalian body shapes are poorly quantified and the underlying components contributing to its diversity and its relationship to other skeletal components are rarely tested.

Targeting neutrophil extracellular traps in metabolic and immune niche: Nanomaterials for diabetes tissue regeneration

open access: yesBMEMat, EarlyView.
The effects of NETs on regeneration of various diabetic tissues, and strategies targeting NETs for diabetes tissue regeneration. In the diabetic environment, NETs undergo complex metabolic and immune reprogramming, leading to dynamic changes in antibacterial and proinflammatory functions, and affecting regeneration of multiple systemic tissues.
