The objective of this work was to evaluate the fatty acid composition in the coating liquid from different brands of sardines, in soy oil and tomato sauce commercialized in Brazil. The contents obtained of EPA and DHA fatty acids in soy oil coating ranged from 0.95 to 3.96% and 0.63 to 1.09%, respectively.
