Influence of Space Charge on Dielectric Property and Breakdown Strength of Polypropylene Dielectrics under Strong Electric Field

open access: yesEnergies, 2022
Space charge accumulation in polypropylene (PP) affect the dielectric properties and breakdown strength of the material. The pre-injected charge in PP under the action of different polarity voltage is quantitatively characterized, and the effects of the ...

On skin breakdown voltage

open access: yesXXI century. Technosphere Safety, 2020
The article deals with one of the complex issues that affect the protective properties of a person when exposed to electric current, namely, the voltage that causes the skin breakdown. The value of voltage that causes the skin breakdown defines the concept of low voltage.

Transcriptional network analysis of PTEN‐protein‐deficient prostate tumors reveals robust stromal reprogramming and signs of senescent paracrine communication

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, Volume 20, Issue 6, Page 1429-1452, June 2026.
Combining PTEN protein assessment and transcriptomic profiling of prostate tumors, we uncovered a network enriched in senescence and extracellular matrix (ECM) programs associated with PTEN loss and conserved in a mouse model. We show that PTEN‐deficient cells trigger paracrine remodeling of the surrounding stroma and this information could help ...

Tumour–host interactions in Drosophila: mechanisms in the tumour micro‐ and macroenvironment

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This review examines how tumour–host crosstalk takes place at multiple levels of biological organisation, from local cell competition and immune crosstalk to organism‐wide metabolic and physiological collapse. Here, we integrate findings from Drosophila melanogaster studies that reveal conserved mechanisms through which tumours hijack host systems to ...

Modeling of a breakdown voltage in microdischarges

open access: yesHemijska industrija, 2009
Non-equilibrium plasmas have been used as one of the principal technologies for development of microelectronics and they are the basis for the development of new generations of nano-electronics devices required for 65 and 40 nm technologies. Microdischarges recently have become more common in everyday life.

Keratin 19 as a prognostic marker and contributing factor of metastasis and chemoresistance in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Keratin 19 (KRT19) is overexpressed in high‐grade serous ovarian cancer with high levels of Kallikrein‐related peptidases (KLK) 4–7 and is associated with poor survival. In vivo analyses demonstrate that elevated KRT19 increases peritoneal tumour burden.

Establishment of a humanized patient‐derived xenograft mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer for preclinical evaluation of combination immunotherapy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We have established a humanized orthotopic patient‐derived xenograft (Hu‐oPDX) mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSOC) that recapitulates human tumor–immune interactions. Using combined anti‐PD‐L1/anti‐CD73 immunotherapy, we demonstrate the model's improved biological relevance and enhanced translational value for preclinical ...

DC Breakdown Voltage of Synthetic Ester Liquid-Based Nanofluids

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2020
Synthetic esters are potential substitutes for mineral oil in power transformers owing to their biodegradability and excellent dielectric withstand. Furthermore, the addition of certain nanoparticles improves the cooling property of liquids.

Influence of low amounts of nanostructured silica and calcium carbonate fillers on the large-area dielectric breakdown performance of bi-axially oriented polypropylene [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
Influence of low amounts (1.0-2.0wt-%) of nanostructured silica and calcium carbonate fillers on the large area dielectric breakdown performance of bi-axially oriented polypropylene (BOPP) is analyzed.
