Influence of Cooking Methods on Consumers' Juiciness Acceptability and Palatability of Broiler Chicken Meat

open access: yesJournal of Agricultural Extension, 2015
Consumers' juiciness acceptability and overall palatability of 8 - 10 week old broiler chicken meat cooked by boiling and by roasting were evaluated. A 6- person trained and experienced consumer sensory pahel was used in the evaluation.

Quantitative trait loci for bone traits segregating independently of those for growth in an F-2 broiler X layer cross [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
An F-2 broiler-layer cross was phenotyped for 18 skeletal traits at 6, 7 and 9 weeks of age and genotyped with 120 microsatellite markers. Interval mapping identified 61 suggestive and significant QTL on 16 of the 25 linkage groups for 16 traits.

Price Transmission and Leadership in the Global Poultry Market: Results From Parametric and Nonparametric Approaches

open access: yesAgribusiness, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Brazil and the United States account for more than 40% of global poultry exports, with China and South Korea among their major destination markets. This study examines price transmission and market linkages between Brazil and the United States using monthly poultry export price data from January 1990 to December 2024. It also assesses which of

Cardiac morphological and morphometric analysis of Ardea alba

open access: yesThe Anatomical Record, EarlyView.
Abstract Ardea alba (Linnaeus, 1758) is a widely distributed heron species whose cardiovascular morphology remains poorly described. This study aimed to characterize the cardiac morphology and morphometry of adult A. alba. Ten specimens were analyzed using radiographic, morphometric, histological, scanning electron microscopy, and three‐dimensional ...

EFFECT OF FLUORIDE TOXICITY ON BROILER CHICKEN CHROMOSOMES [PDF]

open access: yesVeterinary Medical Journal - Giza, 1995
The effect of fluorine on mitotic chromosomes of broiler chicken (60 day old, was investigated. Broiler chickens were exposed to sodium fluoride in ration in two doses (1000 ppm and 1500 ppm) for two months, after which, metaphases from the bone marrow ...

A genetic variation map for chicken with 2.8 million single-nucleotide polymorphisms

open access: yes, 2004
We describe a genetic variation map for the chicken genome containing 2.8 million single-nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs). This map is based on a comparison of the sequences of three domestic chicken breeds (a broiler, a layer and a Chinese silkie) with ...

Evaluation of a Product Intended for Microbiological Control in Animal Production, and Its Combination With Halquinol

open access: yesAnimal Research and One Health, EarlyView.
Activo Liquid and Halquinol inhibit Salmonella and Escherichia coli in culture media. Activo Liquid exhibits bactericidal action, whereas HA is bacteriostatic, and their combination results in positive or indifferent interactions. This combination effectively inhibits E. coli throughout digestion simulation, thus reducing the required concentrations of
