The ageing holobiont: crosstalk between telomere dynamics, oxidative stress and the gut microbiome
ABSTRACT The gut tissue is at the frontline of early onset of ageing. It exhibits high cell turnover rates and rapid telomere shortening, which can have systemic effects on the developing or senescing organism. We conducted a literature review of studies on the crosstalk between telomere length dynamics, telomerase activity, oxidative stress, and gut ...

Progression of Ochratoxicosis in Broiler Chickens
The progression of effects induced by administration of ochratoxin A were characterized in young male broiler chickens (Hubbard x Hubbard). The experimental design consisted of four dietary treatments of ochratoxin A (0, 1.0, 2.0, and 4.0 micrograms ochratoxin A/g feed) and 11 replicates of 10 broilers/replicate.

If‐Conditionals as Arguments in Nineteenth‐Century Women's Instructive Writing in English
Abstract This article seeks to analyse the if‐conditionals in a corpus of cookery recipes written by women, namely the Corpus of Women's Instructive Texts in English (1800–1899) (CoWITE19). These texts are original texts written by British and American women between 1800 and 1850.

Cardiovascular Plasticity and Adaptation of High‐Altitude Birds and Mammals
This schematic depicts the cardiovascular adaptations of mammals and birds to high‐altitude hypoxia. It highlights key phenotypic changes in oxygen transport and cardiac responses, driven by molecular mechanisms including transcriptional regulation and genetic modifications.

Progression of Aflatoxicosis in Broiler Chickens
The progression of aflatoxicosis was evaluated in young broiler chickens (Hubbard X Hubbard). The experimental design consisted of four dietary treatments of aflatoxin (0, 1.25, 2.5, and 5.0 micrograms of aflatoxin/g of feed, ppm) and 11 replicates of 10 broilers/replicate.

Salmonella enterica serovar Enteritidis (SE) can colonise chicken ovaries and contaminate eggs, posing a global risk of human gastroenteritis, often linked to raw or undercooked eggs. Control options for SE outbreaks in Australia are limited; autogenous SE vaccines are commonly used, while live attenuated Salmonella Typhimurium (ST) vaccines are ...

Net energy prediction and energy efficiency of feed for broiler chickens
Global consumption of chicken meat has increased at a faster rate than any other animal protein source, and thus refinements in energy formulation techniques for feed have continued to gain importance.
