Thymoquinone Ameliorates Gut Epithelial Injury by Suppressing the JNK Signaling Pathway Based on Its Anti‐Oxidant Property

open access: yesFood Science &Nutrition, Volume 13, Issue 4, April 2025.
A model explains thymoquinone's effect on ulcerative colitis. SDS in the intestines induces ROS, activating JNK signaling in intestinal stem cells, causing dys‐homeostasis of their proliferation and differentiation. This impairs intestinal epithelial cell turnover.
