Adapted Live SARS‐CoV‐2 Vaccine Elicits Rapid Mucosal Immunity, Protects From Disease, and Reduces Shedding of XBB.1.5

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Immunology, Volume 56, Issue 5, May 2026.
An attenuated live vaccine (OTS‐300) expressing the XBB.1.5 Spike provided rapid and complete protection against homologous challenge in the hamster model, accompanied by fast systemic and mucosal antibody responses and markedly reduced transmission compared with XBB.1.5 mRNA vaccination.

Can Artificial Intelligence Foster Deep Personalization in Education?

open access: yesFuture Humanities, Volume 4, Issue 1, May 2026.
ABSTRACT Proposals for the adoption of artificial intelligence (AI) in education are often accompanied by claims that it promotes ‘personalization’. Society for Maternal‐Fetal Medicine Special Statement: Assessment and management of reported penicillin allergy in pregnancy

open access: yesPregnancy, Volume 2, Issue 3, May 2026.
Abstract Approximately 8% of pregnant people report being allergic to penicillin, yet most of these patients are not truly allergic, either because their allergy has waned or was misdiagnosed in the first place. Penicillin allergy testing can distinguish those who are at risk for reaction to penicillin from those with no or minimal risk.

Heights of Butterfly Trees

open access: yesRandom Structures &Algorithms, Volume 68, Issue 3, May 2026.
ABSTRACT Binary search trees (BSTs) are fundamental data structures whose performance is largely governed by tree height. We introduce a block model for constructing BSTs by embedding internal BSTs into the nodes of an external BST—a structure motivated by parallel data architectures—corresponding to composite permutations formed via Kronecker or ...

Markedly Increased Diamine Oxidase During Acute Anaphylaxis Is Associated With an Underlying Clonal Mast Cell Disorder

open access: yesClinical &Experimental Allergy, Volume 56, Issue 5, Page 516-525, May 2026.
We provide the first evidence that pronounced release of DAO during anaphylaxis is restricted to patients with clonal mast cell disorder. This finding offers possible functional support for the reported association between KIT p.D816V and anaphylaxis severity.
