The caseins of buffalo milk

Comparative Biochemistry and Physiology, 1968
Abstract 1. 1. The caseins present in the milk of 105 Indian water buffaloes were examined by gel electrophoretic procedures. 2. 2. The α s - and κ-casein components differed markedly from those of cow's milk. 3. 3. Three closely related buffaloes produced two β-caseins; no other evidence of polymorphism was obtained.

Triacylglycerol composition of buffalo milk fat

Journal of Dairy Research, 1982
SUMMARYBuffalo milk fat was first separated by thin layer chromatography (t.l.c.) into high (HMT), medium (MMT) and low (LMT) molecular weight triacylglycerols. The triacylglycerol (TG) fractions thus obtained were further resolved by argentation t.l.c. into saturated,trans-monoene,cis-monoene, diene and polyene TG species.
