The Effect of Using Different Probiotics on the Performance, Digestibility of Nutrients, Feces Score, Blood Parameters and Skeletal Indices of Suckling Holstein's Calves

open access: yesVeterinary Medicine and Science, Volume 12, Issue 5, September 2026.
Adding probiotics to calf milk significantly improved growth, resulting in higher final body weight and daily weight gain compared to the control group. Probiotics, particularly Bacillus subtilis, enhanced fecal consistency scores, nutrient digestibility, and skeletal development.

Comparison of Rasogolla Made from Fresh Cow Milk, Fresh Buffalo Milk and Mixture of Cow and Buffalo Milk

open access: yesPakistan Journal of Nutrition, 2003
Three types of rasogolla were prepared from cow milk chhana and buffalo milk chhana named as A (100% cow milk chhana). B (100% buffalo milk chhana) and C (50% cow + 50% buffalo milk chhana). Quality of those was evaluated by physical and chemical tests. Rasogolla made from cow milk chhana gained the highest organoleptic score.

Characterizing the Milk Microbiome in Subclinical Mastitis: A Pilot 16S rRNA‐Based Study in Cattle and Water Buffalo

open access: yesVeterinary Medicine and Science, Volume 12, Issue 5, September 2026.
Milk samples collected from cattle and buffalo were pooled and screened for mastitis prior to DNA extraction. Sequencing of the V1–V7 region of 16S rRNA was performed using the MinION platform, and the resulting data were analysed to determine taxonomic classification and assess microbial diversity. ABSTRACT Background In the dairy sector of Bangladesh,

Improvement of Mouse Spermatozoa Freezing at −80°C With Ascorbic Acid 2‐Glucoside at Thawing Phase

open access: yesAndrology, Volume 14, Issue 6, Page 1647-1655, September 2026.
ABSTRACT Background Sperm cryopreservation is the most common method to maintain a great number of mutant mouse lines. However, the use of liquid nitrogen (LN2) for freezing presents considerable problems in terms of cost, safety, and accessibility. For this reason, the storage of semen samples at ‐80° in ultra‐freezers has been increasingly used in ...
