Construction of Building Energy Consumption Prediction Model Based on Multi-Optimization Model
This study explores the utilization of the Relevance Vector Machine (RVM) model, optimized using the Sparrow Search Algorithm (SSA), Simulate Anneal Arithmetic (SAA), Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO), and Bayesian Optimization Algorithm (BOP), to ...

Sequence determinants of RNA G‐quadruplex unfolding by Arg‐rich regions
We show that Arg‐rich peptides selectively unfold RNA G‐quadruplexes, but not RNA stem‐loops or DNA/RNA duplexes. This length‐dependent activity is inhibited by acidic residues and is conserved among SR and SR‐related proteins (SRSF1, SRSF3, SRSF9, U1‐70K, and U2AF1).

Coupling problem in thermal systems simulations [PDF]
Building energy simulation is playing a key role in building design in order to reduce the energy consumption and, consequently, the CO2 emissions. An object-oriented tool called NEST is used to simulate all the phenomena that appear in a building.

The Ile181Asn variant of human UDP‐xylose synthase (hUXS1), associated with a short‐stature genetic syndrome, has previously been reported as inactive. Our findings demonstrate that Ile181Asn‐hUXS1 retains catalytic activity similar to the wild‐type but exhibits reduced stability, a looser oligomeric state, and an increased tendency to precipitate ...

We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

The development of a generic systems-level model for combustion-based domestic cogeneration [PDF]
The provision of heat and power to dwellings from micro-cogeneration systems is gaining credence around the developed world as a possible means to reduce the significant carbon emissions associated with the domestic sector. However, achieving the optimum

Optimization Tools for Building Energy Model Calibration
Abstract Different optimization tools have been developed to find the best trade-off between competitive goals. The optimization problem is typical of the design process, where different design solutions have to be compared to achieve one or more objectives, often in contrast with each other.
