BURR FORMATION AT THE INTERFACE DURING BI-MATERIAL ORTHOGONAL CUTTING [PDF]

open access: yes, 2021
To reduce the size of exit burrs induced by broaching, it is possible to use a low value martyred part clamped to the functional one on the tool exit side.

A one-week reduced-carbohydrate diet to mitigate iatrogenic peripheral hyperinsulinemia does not improve insulin sensitivity or endothelial function in a randomized, crossover trial in patients with type 1 diabetes

open access: yesCardiovascular Diabetology
Background Iatrogenic peripheral hyperinsulinemia, resulting from peripheral insulin administration in type 1 diabetes, may increase insulin resistance and impair endothelial function.

Effects of Tool Edge Geometry on Chip Segmentation and Exit Burr: A Finite Element Approach

open access: yesMetals, 2019
The effects of different tool edge geometries (hone and chamfer (T-land)) on quantitative measurement of end (exit) burr and chip segmentation (frequency and degree) in machining of AA2024-T351 are presented in this work. The finite element (FE) approach

Biodegradable Acoustic Targeting for Ultrasound‐Supported Gene Therapy (BATUS) in Glioblastoma

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Glioblastoma (GBM) remains one of the most challenging brain malignancies due to the restrictive nature of the blood–brain barrier (BBB), which severely limits effective drug and gene delivery. To overcome this, we introduce Biodegradable Acoustic Targeting for Ultrasound‐Supported Gene Therapy (BATUS), a modular platform that enables safe ...

Deep Learning Network‐Tailored Microenvironment Matching of 4D Bioprinting Bioactive Scaffolds for Bone Regeneration

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A DLN dataset was built to analyze MABS composition versus in vitro/in vivo osteogenesis and angiogenesis. An MLP neural network, taking BG morphological parameters as input, extracts bioactive features from these datasets. A rabbit tibial defect model then validates 4D‐printed MABS for adaptability and bone regeneration in critical defects.

Percutaneous management of Stuck Rotational Atherectomy Burr: Experience at a tertiary care centre

open access: yesAsian Journal of Medical Sciences, 2021
Background: The incidence of stuck rotational atherectomy (RA) burr is extremely low, and its description has been sporadic in the literature about the systemic management of this complication.
