Ruthenium-catalyzed direct oxidative alkenylation of arenes through twofold C-H bond functionalization

open access: yes, 2013
Significant progress has been accomplished in direct olefinations through twofold C-H bond functionalization of arenes and heteroarenes employing readily accessible, selective and relatively inexpensive ruthenium catalysts.

Heterozygous loss‐of‐function alleles associate the conserved 3′‐5′ exoribonuclease EXOSC10 with hypersensitivity to the anticancer drug 5‐fluorouracil

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
EXOSC10, an essential nuclear RNA exosome‐associated 3′‐5′ exoribonuclease, is inhibited by the anticancer drug 5‐fluorouracil (5‐FU), and EXOSC10 depletion increases 5‐FU sensitivity. The colon‐cancer variant EXOSC10S402T, located in a proteolysis motif, is stable and nuclear but nonfunctional in vivo.

C–H Functionalization on Carbohydrates

open access: yes, 2016
Functionalization of C–H bonds has received significant attention in organic chemistry during the last decade and it is still a “hot” topic. In particular, C–H modification of natural products has benefitted from this development.

Regioselective Pd-catalyzed direct C1- and C2-arylations of lilolidine for the access to 5,6-dihydropyrrolo[3,2,1-ij]quinoline derivatives

open access: yesBeilstein Journal of Organic Chemistry, 2019
The Pd-catalyzed C–H bond functionalization of lilolidine was investigated. The use of a palladium-diphosphine catalyst associated to acetate bases in DMA was found to promote the regioselective arylation at α-position of the nitrogen atom of lilolidine ...

Transcriptional profiling of circulating extracellular vesicles from prebiopsy prostate cancer patients

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
RNA profiling of circulating extracellular vesicles (EVs) from blood samples of men undergoing prostate biopsy identifies transcripts associated with clinically significant prostate cancer. Integrative analysis with public tumor datasets links EV‐derived gene signatures to tumor stage and progression‐free survival, highlighting CASP3, XRCC2, and RIT1 ...

Dehydrogenative C(sp3)–H bond functionalization of tetrahydroisoquinolines mediated by organic oxidants under mild conditions

open access: yes, 2019
The organocatalyzed Mannich reaction of unsubstituted and N-aryl-substituted tetrahydroisoquinolines (THIQs) and the Strecker reaction of several N-aryl-substituted THIQs through dehydrogenative C(sp3)–H bond functionalization (cross-dehydrogenative ...

Adaptor protein CIN85 potentiates the motility of osteosarcoma cells via the Akt/mTOR and MMP2‐COL3A1 axis

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
CIN85 is highly expressed in osteosarcoma, particularly in metastatic lesions. Its overexpression increases cell migration and Matrigel invasion, while silencing CIN85 suppresses these behaviors. Transcriptome analysis shows that CIN85 regulates MMP2, COL3A1, and Akt/mTOR signaling. Targeting these pathways reverses CIN85‐induced motility, highlighting
