Interdisciplinary Medicine, EarlyView.Cold atmospheric plasma (CAP) generates a range of reactive oxygen and nitrogen species (RONS), including singlet oxygen (1O2), hydrogen peroxide (H2O2), hydroxyl radicals (·OH), nitrate (NO3− ${{\text{NO}}_{3}}^{-}$), and nitrite (NO2− ${{\text{NO}}_{2}}^{-}$), which induce oxidative stress and apoptosis in cancer cells.
