Axinellin C, a proline-rich cyclic octapeptide isolated from the Fijian marine sponge Stylotella aurantium

Tetrahedron, 2002
The structure of a new cyclic octapeptide, axinellin C, (cyclo[Thr1-Val2-Pro3-Trp4-Pro5-Phe6-Pro7-Leu8]), with all-trans peptide bond geometry, was elucidated by a combination of 2D NMR methods and tandem mass spectrometry. The solution state conformation was determined by ROE restrained molecular dynamics calculations.

The structures of trichoaurantianolides B, C and D, novel diterpenes from Tricholoma aurantium

Tetrahedron Letters, 1995
Abstract The structures of the new diterpene lactones trichoaurantianolides B (2), C (3) and D (4), isolated from the fruiting bodies of Tricholoma aurantium have been elucidated by manifold spectroscopic studies and, in the case of 2, confirmed by X-ray crystallographic analysis.

Distribution of C- and O-glycosyl flavonoids, (3-hydroxy-3-methylglutaryl)glycosyl flavanones and furocoumarins in Citrus aurantium L. juice

Food Chemistry, 2011
Abstract The qualitative and quantitative flavonoid and furocoumarin composition of crude sour orange (Citrus aurantium L.) juice was determined via reverse-phase LC–DAD–ESI–MS–MS analysis. In a single course, a comprehensive chromatographic profile of 14 compounds (furocoumarins, C- and O-glycosyl flavonoids) was obtained.

Selection for aluminium tolerance in embryogenic lines of Citrus sinensis L. and C. aurantium L.

Mededelingen (Rijksuniversiteit te Gent. Fakulteit van de Landbouwkundige en Toegepaste Biologische Wetenschappen), 2004
The Citrus cultivars 'Amargo' and 'Pineapple' produce embryogenic cultures on two types of sugars, galactose and lactose. Two percent lactose is optimal for both cultivars; embryogenic callus is produced 8-10 weeks after inoculation. Whereas 2% galactose is optimal for 'Amargo', it is 3% for 'Pineapple'.

Z-Axinohydantoin and Debromo-Z-Axinohydantoin from the SpongeStylotella aurantium: Inhibitors of Protein Kinase C

Natural Product Letters, 1997
Abstract During the large scale isolation of the hymenialdisine and debromohymenialdisine, potent inhibitors of PKC, from Stylotella aurantium, we also isolated several related minor metabolites, two of which proved to be novel. The structures of these new compounds, Z-axinohydantoin (1) and debromo-Z-axinohydantoin (2), were determined by ...
