CA19-9: A Possible Serum Marker for Embryonal Carcinoma

Urologia Internationalis, 2010
We determined whether a carbohydrate antigen in serum, CA19-9, serves as a marker for embryonal carcinoma. Serum CA19-9 was serially measured in 18 male patients with a germ cell tumor. Five of 8 patients with an embryonal carcinoma had an elevated serum CA19-9.

Elevated CA19-9 in IgG4-related disease

Annals of Clinical Biochemistry: International Journal of Laboratory Medicine
Background IgG4-related disease (IgG4-RD) is an inflammatory disease that can clinically mimic pancreatic and hepatobiliary cancer. Serum carbohydrate antigen 19-9 (CA19-9) is a tumour marker that is frequently used to aid in the diagnosis of biliary cancer. There have been reported cases that patients with IgG4-

[Clinical significance of CA19-9 for endometriosis].

Nihon Sanka Fujinka Gakkai zasshi, 1990
We investigated the usefulness of measuring the serum CA19-9 concentration in the diagnosis and therapeutic monitoring of endometriosis, and compared it with the serum CA125 concentration. We added an immunohistochemical study on CA19-9 and CA125 to find their localization in the various lesions of endometriosis. 1. The positive rate of serum CA19-9 in

Clinical significance of CA19-9 in the follow-up of colorectal cancer patients with elevated preoperative serum CA19-9.

Hepato-gastroenterology, 2014
We hypothesized an advantage of using carbohydrate antigen 19-9 (CA19-9) over carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA) in postoperative surveillance of colorectal cancer (CRC) patients with elevated preoperative serum CA19-9 (PreCA19-9).We analyzed 197 CRC patients with elevated PreCA19-9 (>=37U/mL). Serum levels of CEA and CA19-9 were monitored postoperatively,
