Biological Resectability in Colorectal Liver Metastases: A Nomogram‐Based Continuous Risk Model to Define Borderline Disease

KRAS mutation demonstrated a prognostic impact according to primary tumor sidedness, independent of tumor morphology, in patients undergoing hepatectomy for colorectal liver metastases. A nomogram integrating biological and clinicopathological factors was developed to provide continuous biological risk assessment.

CA19-9 in Mature Cystic Teratoma.

I investigated 250 patients with mature cystic teratoma (MCT) of ovary, using an enzyme immunoassay to determine the tissue source of their high serum levels of CA19-9. A 65-year-old man was admitted to our hospital because of mild dyspnea. A chest roentgenogram showed diffuse reticulonodular shadows in both lung fields. The concentration of CA19-9 in serum was high. Pancreatic cancer and other diseases were considered as causes, but no definitive diagnosis could be made.
