The regio‐ and stereoselective synthesis of ring‐fused α‐hydroxy‐2‐cyclopentenones is achieved by a one‐pot gold(I)‐catalyzed Rautenstrauch rearrangement/nitrosocarbonyl hetero‐Diels–Alder reaction/ring opening sequence carried out on suitable propargyl esters followed by selective NO bond cleavage.

Effect of woven structure on transient characteristics of cake filtration
Three-dimensional particles deposition on four basic woven structures was studied numerically by analyzing forces acting on the depositing particles and was applied to estimate the change of clarity of filtrate at the initial stage of filtration.

The underutilized parts viz: pawpaw seed, banana, plantain, and potato peels showed promising antioxidant and inhibition of α‐amylase and α‐glucosidase activities (IC50 values ≤ 100 μg/mL). Similarly, pawpaw seed, banana, plantain, and potato peels reduced postprandial hyperglycemia in sucrose‐ and maltose‐induced hyperglycemia in rats.
