Gut microbiome and aging—A dynamic interplay of microbes, metabolites, and the immune system
Age‐dependent shifts in microbial communities engender shifts in microbial metabolite profiles. These in turn drive shifts in barrier surface permeability of the gut and brain and induce immune activation. When paired with preexisting age‐related chronic inflammation this increases the risk of neuroinflammation and neurodegenerative diseases.

Biomolecular condensates formed by fused in sarcoma (FUS) are dissolved by high ATP concentrations yet persist in cells. Using a reconstituted system, we demonstrate that valosin‐containing protein (VCP), an AAA+ ATPase, counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its D2 ATPase activity.

Commensurability and beyond: from Mises and Neurath to the future of the socialist calculation debate [PDF]
Mises' 'calculation argument' against socialism argues that monetary calculation is indispensable as a commensurable unit for evaluating factors of production.

Diversity and complexity in neural organoids
Neural organoid research aims to expand genetic diversity on one side and increase tissue complexity on the other. Chimeroids integrate multiple donor genomes within single organoids. Self‐organising multi‐identity organoids, exogenous cell seeding, or enforced assembly of region‐specific organoids contribute to tissue complexity.

Tamm plasmons (TP) attract interest due to their applications in a new type of lasers and high sensitivity sensors. Hybrid plasmonic-photonic crystals allow direct excitation of TP without prisms and gratings.

Self inductance of a wire loop as a curve integral
It is shown that the self inductance of a wire loop can be written as a curve integral akin to the Neumann formula for the mutual inductance of two wire loops. The only difference is that contributions where the two integration variables get too close to

Calculation for six-gluon scattering to leading order in the number of color [PDF]
At present there is no simple analytic expression for this scattering. Existing lengthy programs were used to study this kind of scattering. In this paper we developed some mathematical methods in which we hope to get a simple analytic form.

Planning and Know-how: The Relationship between Knowledge and Calculation in Hayek's Case for Markets [PDF]
Ludwig von Mises' calculation argument against socialism is of fundamental importance to the modern-day case for the market. Yet it is to Hayek that some Austrian-influenced theorists turn when responding to the computational models for non-market price ...

Hyperosmotic stress induces PARP1‐mediated HPF1‐dependent mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation
Sorbitol‐induced hyperosmotic stress rapidly induces reversible mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation (MARylation) on PARP1 without the signs of genotoxic signaling. We show that PARP1 autoMARylation is HPF1 dependent and forms hydroxylamine‐resistant O‐glycosidic linkages.
