An isoform of 14‐3‐3 protein regulates transbilayer lipid movement at the plasma membrane

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Loss of 14‐3‐3ζ in CHO cells confers resistance to exogenous phosphatidylserine (PS) and impairs endocytosis‐independent inward flip‐flop of fluorescent PS at the plasma membrane. RNAi‐mediated knockdown reproduces this defect, while no additive effect is seen in ATP11C‐deficient cells.

The Effect of Conductor Sag on EMF Exposure Assessment for 400 kV Double-Bundle

open access: yesApplied Sciences
This study investigates the effect of seasonal conductor sag on electromagnetic field (EMF) exposure to near 400 kV double-bundle overhead transmission lines. The conductor sag study resulted in clearance values of 28.0 m for winter (−10 °C, sag ≈ 7.0 m)

Comment sortir du labyrinthe. Condillac critique de Spinoza, entre mos geometricus et Langue des calculs

open access: yesNoctua, 2017
The present article proposes to study Condillac’s analysis of Spinoza’s Ethics, against the background of the more general criticism that the French abbot makes of the seventeenth-century logique de système. From the Essai sur l’origine des connaissances

Method of calculating the optimal sand content in normal-weight concrete

open access: yesИнженерно-строительный журнал, 2018
In the practice of proportioning concrete compositions, the optimum sand content in a mixture of aggregates is usually found empirically. The disadvantage of this approach is the considerable complexity and duration of the required tests.

Utilizing Hirshfeld surface calculations, non-covalent interaction (NCI) plots and the calculation of interaction energies in the analysis of molecular packing

open access: yesActa Crystallographica Section E: Crystallographic Communications, 2019
The analysis of atom-to-atom and/or residue-to-residue contacts remains a favoured mode of analysing the molecular packing in crystals. This contribution highlights tools for this analysis such as Crystal Explorer and NCIPLOT, which is used to evaluate ...

A Novel Model-Based Method for Odometry Calculation of All-Terrain Mobile Robots [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
A novel model-based method for odometry calculation of all-terrain mobile robots is proposed in this paper. Using an all-terrain mobile robot with passively compliant mechanism as an instance, this paper grasps the wheel slip as a key factor affecting ...

The ubiquitin ligase RNF115 is required for the clearance of damaged lysosomes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Upon lysosomal rupture, an E3 ubiquitin ligase RNF115 translocates from the cytosol to the damaged lysosomal membrane. Moreover, RNF115 depletion impairs the clearance of damaged lysosomes, identifying it as a key regulator of lysosomal quality control.

Impact of Electronic Components Thermal Resilience on the Reliability of Radio-Electronic Equipment

open access: yesVìsnik Nacìonalʹnogo Tehnìčnogo Unìversitetu Ukraïni Kììvsʹkij Polìtehnìčnij Ìnstitut: Serìâ Radìotehnìka, Radìoaparatobuduvannâ
The article focuses on the impact of temperature on the reliability of electronic components, as in non-redundant radio-electronic equipment, the failure of any component typically leads to the failure of the entire device.

ppcor: An R Package for a Fast Calculation to Semi-partial Correlation Coefficients

open access: yesCommunications for Statistical Applications and Methods, 2015
Lack of a general matrix formula hampers implementation of the semi-partial correlation, also known as part correlation, to the higher-order coefficient.

Epigenetic blind spots – the role of DNA methylation dynamics in stem cell‐based models of embryogenesis

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Embryo‐like structures (stembryos) are an innovative tool, but they are hindered by experimental variability and limited developmental potential. DNA methylation is crucial for mammalian development, but its status in stembryo models is poorly characterized.
