Surface Tension Measurement of Ti‐6Al‐4V by Falling Droplet Method in Oxygen‐Free Atmosphere
In this article, the temperature‐dependent surface tension of free falling, oscillating Ti‐6Al‐4V droplets is investigated in both argon and monosilane doped, oxygen‐free atmosphere. Droplet temperature and oscillation are captured with one single high‐speed camera, and the surface tension is calculated with Rayleigh's formula.

Cermets (60 vol.% AISI 316L stainless steel, 40 vol.% recycled MgO), intended for use in aluminum electrolysis, were pre‐oxidized in three furnaces with different heating technologies and subjected to a cryolite corrosion test. The different atmospheres influenced the formation of oxide layers, which in turn affected corrosion resistance and ...

Voxel-Based Scene Representation for Camera Pose Estimation of a Single RGB Image
Deep learning has been utilized in end-to-end camera pose estimation. To improve the performance, we introduce a camera pose estimation method based on a 2D-3D matching scheme with two convolutional neural networks (CNNs).

Camera calibration and relative pose estimation from gravity [PDF]
We examine the potential use of gravity for camera calibration and pose estimation purposes. Concretely, objects being launched or dropped follow trajectories dictated by the law of gravity. We examine if video sequences of such trajectories give us exploitable constraints for estimating the imaging geometry. It is shown that it is possible to estimate

Microstructure Evolution of a VMnFeCoNi High‐Entropy Alloy After Synthesis, Swaging, and Annealing
The synthesis and processing (rotary swaging and annealing) of the novel VMnFeCoNi alloy is investigated, alongside the estimation of the grain size effect on hardness. Analysis of a wide grain size range of recrystallized microstructures (12–210 µm) reveals a low annealing twin density.
