We have previously developed a bifunctional aptamer (bApt) binding to both human thrombin and camptothecin derivative (CPT1), and showed that bApt acts as a drug carrier under the phenomenon named selective oligonucleotide entrapment in fibrin polymers ...

Stimuli‐Responsive Poly(Disulfide)s: A Versatile Platform for Intelligent Drug Delivery Systems
Ring‐opening polymerization based on dynamic disulfide bond exchange is an important method for synthesizing poly(disulfide)s. These polymers possess stimulus‐responsive mechanisms and show broad prospects in intelligent drug delivery. This review systematically discusses the ring‐opening polymerization strategy and research progress of drug delivery ...

Non-destructive monitoring of viability in an ex vivo organ culture model of osteochondral tissue [PDF]
Organ culture is an increasingly important tool in research, with advantages over monolayer cell culture due to the inherent natural environment of tissues. Successful organ cultures must retain cell viability. The aim of this study was to produce viable

The solvation preference of irinotecan is governed by a competition between cavity formation and electrostatic stabilization. Computations reveal that the high cost of breaking water's hydrogen bond network outweighs its electrostatic benefits. In contrast, polar aprotic solvents (e.g., pyridine) offer an optimal thermodynamic balance, providing strong

Proapoptotic and antiinvasive activity of Rac1 small molecule inhibitors on malignant glioma cells [PDF]
Malignant gliomas are characterized by an intrinsic ability to invade diffusely throughout the normal brain tissue. This feature contributes mainly to the failure of existing therapies. Deregulation of small GTPases signaling, in particular Rac1 activity,

MagPiezo enables wireless activation of endogenous Piezo1 channels without genetic modification using 19 nm magnetic nanoparticles and low‐intensity magnetic fields. It generates torque forces at the piconewton scale to trigger mechanotransduction in endothelial cells, standing as a novel platform to interrogate and manipulate Piezo1 activity in vitro.
