Naturally occurring auxotrophs of Campylobacter jejuni and Campylobacter coli
Journal of Clinical Microbiology, 1987The nutritional requirements for 439 Campylobacter jejuni isolates and 46 Campylobacter coli isolates were determined by using a previously described chemically defined medium, campylobacter defined medium. With this medium, 45% of both human and nonhuman C. jejuni isolates demonstrated auxotrophic requirements. None of the 46 C.

[Infectivity of Campylobacter jejuni and Campylobacter coli in chickens].
Berliner und Munchener tierarztliche Wochenschrift, 1995The infectivity of four Campylobacter (C.) jejuni strains and one C. coli strain was evaluated by the reisolation rate from cloacal swabs after oral infection of chickens at four weeks of age. One strain did not colonize the digestive tract, another infected only a part of the experimental group and a third was excreted at a lower percentage in the ...

Campylobacter jejuni e Campylobacter coli in pollame del commercio
1994Campylobacter coli and C. jejune were isolated in 120 samples of poultry intestines, carcasses and offals. Number of Campylobacter depends on type of samples and of strains. C. jejuni was isolated more frequently than C. coli. it seems that Good Cooking and Good Manifacturing Practise can eliminate any problem of campylobacteriosis by food.
