Comportamento da Lectina de sementes de Canavalia brasiliensis Mart. durante a germinação em presença de luz [PDF]

open access: yesActa Botanica Brasilica, 1990

Antiproliferative effects of lectins from Canavalia ensiformis and Canavalia brasiliensis in human leukemia cell lines

open access: yesToxicology in Vitro, 2012
The antiproliferative activity of lectins Canavalia ensiformis (ConA) and Canavalia brasiliensis (ConBr) were studied using human leukemia MOLT-4 and HL-60 cell lines. It was revealed that both ConA and ConBr were markedly cytotoxic to cells using MTT and NAC assays.

Antiproliferative effect of Canavalia brasiliensis lectin on B16F10 cells

Research in Veterinary Science, 2014
Lectins are proteins or glycoproteins with the ability to link to carbohydrates at the cell surface in a specific and reversible manner. Studies have showed that lectins are demonstrate immunomodulatory and antitumor agents. This study aims to evaluate the effect of lectin extracted from the seeds of Canavalia brasiliensis (ConBr) on murine melanoma ...

Expression of the Canavalia brasiliensis Lectin (ConBr) in Tobacco Plants

Protein & Peptide Letters, 2006
Tobacco plants were transformed with gene constructs encoding prepro-ConBr (Canavalia brasiliensis lectin). Transgenic plants confirmed by PCR expressed the recombinant protein as revealed by Western blot. However, the apparent molecular mass of the recombinant polypeptide (ca.
