Mechanisms and therapeutic opportunities of the ribotoxic stress response in cancer
Cancer cells' high translational demand creates opportunities to therapeutically target ribosome function. Ribosome stalling and collisions activate ZAKα and the ribotoxic stress response (RSR), which can trigger rapid, p53‐independent apoptosis in cancer.

Peach extract induces systemic and local immune responses in an experimental food allergy model
Peach allergy is among the most frequent food allergies in the Mediterranean area, often eliciting severe anaphylactic reactions in patients. Due to the risk of severe symptoms, studies in humans are limited, leading to a lack of therapeutic options ...

AbstractVaccines are an important tool in the rapidly evolving repertoire of immunotherapies in oncology. Although cancer vaccines have been investigated for over 30 years, very few have achieved meaningful clinical success. However, recent advances in areas such antigen identification, formulation development and manufacturing, combination therapy ...

Chronobiology of Cancer: How Aging Fuels Oncogenesis at the Molecular Level
This graphical abstract illustrates the key biological pathways linking aging with cancer development and progression. In the upper left, cumulative exposure to ultraviolet radiation, toxins, and reactive oxygen species (ROS) causes DNA damage and genomic instability, whereas age‐related decline in repair mechanisms, such as ATM/ATR, BER, and NER ...

Expression of HIV from a 1-LTR circular DNA in the absence of integration
Background Like all retroviruses, two kinds of viral DNA are present in the nucleus of HIV-infected cells: integrated DNA and a pool of unintegrated DNA containing linear and circular forms. For the most part, it has been difficult to examine the role of
