Human Papillomavirus Infection: Prevention, Barriers to Vaccination, and the Need for Education [PDF]
While there is no known cure for HPV, prophylactic vaccination provides an effective method of primary prevention against HPV-related diseases. However, many females and males never receive the HPV vaccine as recommended.

Improved induction of anti-melanoma T cells by adenovirus-5/3 fiber modification to target human DCs [PDF]
To mount a strong anti-tumor immune response, non T cell inflamed (cold) tumors may require combination treatment encompassing vaccine strategies preceding checkpoint inhibition.

Small extracellular vesicles (sEVs) are encapsulated into protective shells composed of metal‐phenolic networks (MPNs) and secondary poly(ethylene glycol) layers. This surface modification approach enhances the storage stability of sEVs while maintaining their integrity and functionality. The shells can be selectively disassembled under mild conditions.

Most tumors, including prostate carcinoma, are heterogeneous mixtures of neoplastic cells and supporting stromal matrix. Attempts to vaccinate as a means to treat or prevent cancer have typically relied on use of a single antigen or cell type. In the case of whole-cell vaccines, clonal populations of cancer cells are grown in culture and harvested for ...

Geometric Adjustment of T Cell‐Sensitive Nanorobots for Enhanced Stability
For the long‐term use of live dendritic cell (DC)‐based vaccines, nano bone marrow dendritic cell (BMDC) originated T cell activators (nano‐BOTs) are synthesized. The geometric properties of nanoparticles are precisely modulated, enhancing their stability and T cell activation capacity.

Myeloid Cell Crosstalk Regulates the Efficacy of the DNA/ALVAC/gp120 HIV Vaccine Candidate
Vaccination with DNA-SIV + ALVAC-SIV + gp120 alum results in inflammasome activation, high levels of IL-1β production, emergency myelopoiesis, and the egress of CXCR4+ CD14+ pre-monocytes from bone marrow.

Hierarchical hydropathic evolution of influenza glycoproteins (N2, H3, A/H3N2) under relentless vaccination pressure [PDF]
Hemagglutinin (HA) and neuraminidase (NA) are highly variable envelope glycoproteins. Here hydropathic analysis, previously applied to quantify common flu (H1N1) evolution (1934-), is applied to the evolution of less common but more virulent (avian derived) H3N2 (1968-), beginning with N2.

Cancer immunotherapy as a new treatment option [PDF]
Cancer can coaptate the immune control of the immune system (IS), evade immunity and its destruction. So, could we say openly that immunotherapy is a viable treatment option for patients with advanced cancer?

Anomeric O-Functionalization of Carbohydrates for Chemical Conjugation to Vaccine Constructs. [PDF]
Carbohydrates mediate a wide range of biological interactions, and understanding these processes benefits the development of new therapeutics. Isolating sufficient quantities of glycoconjugates from biological samples remains a significant challenge ...
