ABSTRACT The demand for off‐the‐shelf biocompatible bone substitutes has driven the development of numerous independent in vitro technologies to generate products resembling physiological tissues. Due to technical challenges and overly simplified cultivation approaches/niches, the end‐products are often uniformly shaped and inferior to native bone ...

A review of the evidence for the canonical Wnt pathway in autism spectrum disorders
Microdeletion and microduplication copy number variations are found in patients with autism spectrum disorder and in a number of cases they include genes that are involved in the canonical Wnt signaling pathway (for example, FZD9, BCL9 or CDH8 ...

Canonical WNT signaling pathway and human AREG
AREG (Amphiregulin), BTC (beta-cellulin), EGF, EPGN (Epigen), EREG (Epiregulin), HBEGF, NRG1, NRG2, NRG3, NRG4 and TGFA (TGFalpha) constitute EGF family ligands for ERBB family receptors. Cetuximab (Erbitux), Pertuzumab (Omnitarg) and Trastuzumab (Herceptin) are anti-cancer drugs targeted to EGF family ligands, while Gefitinib (Iressa), Erlotinib ...

ABSTRACT Astrocyte reactivity critically shapes neuroinflammatory outcomes after ischemic stroke, yet the upstream regulators governing astrocyte state transitions remain incompletely defined. Here, we identify the immunoproteasome subunit low molecular weight protein 2 (LMP2) as an important modulator of astrocyte functional remodeling following ...

Sustained canonical Wnt signaling requires the inhibition of glycogen synthase kinase 3 (GSK3) activity by sequestration of GSK3 inside multivesicular endosomes (MVEs). Here, we show that Wnt signaling is increased by the lysosomal inhibitor chloroquine,

Wnt2bb Induces Cardiomyocyte Proliferation in Zebrafish Hearts via the jnk1/c-jun/creb1 Pathway
Previous studies have demonstrated that inhibition of canonical Wnt signaling promotes zebrafish heart regeneration and that treatment of injured heart tissue with the Wnt activator 6-bromo-indirubin-3-oxime (BIO) can impede cardiomyocyte proliferation ...

IGF2BP1‐mediated m6A stabilization sustains SMC1A expression, enabling cohesin‐associated chromatin regulation of Nestin in hepatocellular carcinoma. This work reveals an epitranscriptomic‐chromatin‐cytoskeletal regulatory axis linked to malignant phenotypes and identifies SMC1A as a biologically relevant vulnerability in HCC.

The roles of canonical and non-canonical Wnt signaling in human de-differentiated articular chondrocytes [PDF]
Osteoarthritis is the most prevalent form of arthritis in the world and it is becoming a major public health problem. Osteoarthritic chondrocytes undergo morphological and biochemical changes that lead to de-differentiation.

P3FI–90 treatment targets KDM3B, reshapes the epigenetic landscape, and suppresses SHP1 expression, thereby activating STING–TBK1–IRF3–type I IFN signaling pathway. Consequently, CD8+ T cells are recruited to the tumor site and activated to produce IFN–γ and GZMB, leading to the killing of TNBC cells.
