On the antibacterial activity of roots ofCapparis spinosaL.

open access: yesNatural Product Research, 2011
A decoction of Capparis spinosa L. roots, widely used in the traditional folk medicine of southern Italy, was prepared and submitted to antibacterial activity tests, which showed an interesting bacteriostatic activity on the growth of Deinococcus radiophilus. Heterocyclic compounds were also recovered from the chloroformic extract of the roots.

IN VITRO PROPAGATION OF CAPPARIS SPINOSA L.

Acta Horticulturae, 2003
In vitro propagation of Capparis spinosa was conducted via seeds and nodal buds of a Lebanese ecotype. High seed germination percentage was achieved on MS medium deprived of hormones (71%) and on sterile water (64%) after a dormancy-breaking treatment by coat-scarification with a scalpel.

In vitro propagation of caper (Capparis spinosa L.)

In Vitro Cellular & Developmental Biology, 1990
A twenty fold multiplication per twenty days of caper was achieved by culturing nodal shoot segments in the presence of BAP (4 μM) plus IAA (0.3 μM) and GA3 (0.3 μM). The use of a modified MS medium facilitated this response. Plantlet regeneration was induced on single shoots taken from proliferating clusters subcultured for 20 days on a reduced BAP (2

Skin irritation assessment and potential mechanism of Capparis spinosa L. fruits

Journal of Ethnopharmacology, 2023

Intraspecific Variation of Capparis spinosa L. in Tunisia

Journal of Herbs, Spices & Medicinal Plants, 2009
An analysis of caper (Capparis spinosa L.) variability in Tunisia using morphological descriptors revealed intraspecific diversity. This diversity was relatively high in the prickly caper but relatively low for inermis and shaggy types that formed one homogenous group.

Mikropropagacija kapara (Capparis spinosa L.)

2014
