Biosynthese der Capsaicinoide in Capsicum annuum L. var. annuum
Planta Medica, 1981The biosynthesis of the branched fatty acid moiety of Capsaicinoids was examined by radioisotopic technique. Labelled nordihydrocapsaicin (NDHC), homocapsaicin I (HC I) and homodihydrocapsaicin I (HDHC I) were isolated from CAPSICUM fruits which had been fed L-leucine-U- (14)C via cotton wicks inserted into the stems.

New Sesquiterpenes from Capsicum annuum
Journal of Natural Products, 2004The ethyl acetate soluble fraction of a MeOH extract of the dried stems and roots of Capsicum annum gave 10 new sesquiterpenoids (1-10) and nine known compounds. The structures of the new compounds were elucidated on the basis of spectroscopic evidence. The isolated new compounds were evaluated for their cytotoxic activities.

Leaf area estimation in capsicum (Capsicum annuum L.)
Scientia Horticulturae, 1989Abstract Leaf area (LA) in capsicum (Capsicum annuum L.) can be estimated in situ, either by the ratio estimator (LA = 0.604 × LB (cm2); R2 = 98%) (assuming that the Y-intercept is equal to zero and has little effect on the coefficient of determination (R2)), or by the regression estimator (LA = −0.68 + 0.63 (LB); R2 = 98%).

Glycolipids from Capsicum annuum
Chemistry of Natural Compounds, 2004The component and fatty-acid compositions of glycolipids from seeds and pulp of Capsicum annuum (Solanaceae) were established. The dominant acid of seed galactolipids was found to be linoleic; of pulp, linolenic. The content of medium-chain acids 9:0-15:0 was greater in seed glycolipids than in the analgous component of pulp lipids.
