Comparison of Three Phenotypic Methods of Carbapenemase Enzyme Detection to Identify Carbapenem-resistant Enterobacterales [PDF]
The prevalence of multidrug-resistant gram-negative bacilli has increased worldwide. Critical care areas of most hospitals use carbapenem antibiotics for the empirical treatment of gram-negative bacterial (GNB) infections.

An Application of Imipenem Discs or P. aeruginosa ATCC 27853 Reference Strain Increases Sensitivity of Carbapenem Inactivation Method for Non-Fermenting Gram-Negative Bacteria. [PDF]
Non-fermenting Gram-negative rods are one of the most commonly isolated bacteria from human infections. These microorganisms are typically opportunistic pathogens that pose a serious threat to public health due to possibility of transmission in the human

An upgraded version of carbapenem inactivation method to detect Bacteroides fragilis carbapenemase
An increase of carbapenemase-producing Bacteroides fragilis infections is observed. To detect such a resistance in B. fragilis, several tests exist that are expensive or show poor sensitivity and specificity. Therefore, we upgraded the Anaerobic Carbapenem Inactivation Method (Ana-CIM) to easily screen for carbapenemase-producing B. fragilis.
