A polysubstituted 3-aminoimidazo[5,1-b]oxazol-6-ium framework has been accessed from a new nitrenoid reagent by a two-step ynamide annulation and imidazolium ring-formation sequence. Metalation with Au(I), Cu(I) and Ir(I) at the C2 position provides an L-

A theoretical study of the mechanism of the addition reaction between carbene and azacyclopropane [PDF]
The mechanism of the addition reaction between carbene and azacyclopropane was investigated using the second-order Moller–Plesset perturbation theory (MP2).

Selectivity in carbene insertion reactions promoted by Ru(II)porphyrinates is achieved only upon careful control of substrate stoichiometry. Here, the authors demonstrate that endotopic catalysis and formation of mechanical bonds enables carbene ...

An Achiral Tetradentate Cis-α-Coordinating NCCN Ligand Gives Rise to a Configurationally Stable Chiral-at-Iron Complex for Enantioselective Catalysis. [PDF]
The design and synthesis of a linear tetradentate NCCN ligand incorporating two 1,2,3‐triazolin‐5‐ylidene mesoionic carbene donors, and its application to asymmetric iron catalysis is reported. This work represents the first example of an iron complex derived from a cis‐α‐coordinating tetradentate NCCN ligand, and notably, the first chiral iron ...

Synthesis and Activity of Six-Membered Cyclic Alkyl Amino Carbene–Ruthenium Olefin Metathesis Catalysts [PDF]
Ru–cyclic alkyl amino carbene (Ru–CAAC) olefin metathesis catalysts perform extraordinarily in metathesis macrocyclization and ethenolysis, but previous studies have been limited to the use of five-membered CAAC (CAAC-5) ligands.

Mechanochromic Organic Materials: Molecular Mechanisms and Multidimensional Applications
Mechanochromic (MC) organic materials change color in response to mechanical force. This review elucidates the molecular mechanisms (e.g., aggregation‐induced emission, AIE) and explores their multidimensional applications in sensors, anti‐counterfeiting, biomedical devices, and structural health monitoring, providing a roadmap for future smart ...

Carbene‐stabilized dithiolene zwitterion, as a redox‐active frustrated Lewis pair, can mediate the B─H bond activation of catecholborane via hydride‐coupled reverse electron transfer processes. This discovery represents the first experimental evidence of the FLP‐mediated B─H activation via net proton transfer.
