Real‐Time In Situ Raman Monitoring of Photomechanochemical Reactions
A proof‐of‐principle setup for real‐time in situ monitoring photomechanochemical reactions is presented, using photoisomerization of azobenzenes, and photolysis of adamantane diazirine, as model reactions. With 4‐methoxyazobenzene it is also shown that multiple photoisomerization cycles can be performed and monitored in a ball mill, while with ...

This study investigates the self‐assembly of N‐heterocyclic carbenes (NHCs) on gold and silver substrates with different crystalline facets. A marked difference in assembly is observed when transitioning from (111) to (100) facets. Additionally, surface reconstruction appears to significantly influence the assembly behavior.

Molecular Hydrogen as a Proton Donor in HH···F Hydrogen Bonds—BF4−···(H2)n Clusters
The MP2/6‐311++G(d,p) calculations performed on the BF4−···H2 complex and BF4−···(H2)n clusters indicate the occurrence within the HH···F hydrogen bonds. These are weak interactions of energies of about −1.7 kcal mol−1 where the main stabilizing forces are related to the electron charge shifts.
