A Multifaceted Interplay Among Hemophagocytosis, Interleukin‐18, and Type I Interferon Distinguishes Still Disease From Other Autoinflammatory Diseases

open access: yesArthritis &Rheumatology, EarlyView.
Objective The unknown pathophysiology and the lack of specific features for systemic juvenile idiopathic arthritis and adult‐onset Still disease (collectively known as Still disease; SD) delay diagnosis and appropriate treatment. The goal of this study was to identify features and mechanisms that distinguish SD from other systemic autoinflammatory ...

Artificial Cell Catalysts for Biotransformation: Design Principles and Process Integration

open access: yesBiotechnology and Bioengineering, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Artificial cell catalysts are emerging as programmable biocatalytic platforms for sustainable molecular conversion. By reconstituting enzymes and functional modules within synthetic compartments, they combine the selectivity of biological catalysis with the design flexibility of synthetic materials.

Organelle‐Resolved Tetrazine‐trans‐Cyclooctene Click Chemistry for Cargo Delivery and Release

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.
Bioorthogonal click chemistry tools provide a means for specific intracellular conjugation of molecules. In this study, we used reactive tetrazine (Tz) and TCO moieties for labeling of organelles and organelle‐specific delivery and activation of doxorubicin prodrugs.

Hybrid Macrocyclic Peptides — Synthetic Strategies to Diversify and Cyclize Peptide Libraries in Phage Display Selections

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, EarlyView.
Hybrid macrocyclic peptides unite genetically encoded peptide libraries with the structural complexity of synthetic small molecules. This Review critically analyzes phage‐compatible cyclization and diversification chemistries, highlights emerging opportunities beyond traditional cysteine‐based approaches, and outlines how future advances may enable the

Association of Urinary pH With Overall Survival in Patients With Stage IV Cancer: A Single‐Center Retrospective Cohort Study

open access: yesCancer Nexus, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective This single‐center retrospective cohort study evaluated whether, among patients with stage IV cancer who participated in a pragmatic “alkalization therapy”—defined as a low potential renal acid load diet plus oral sodium bicarbonate and/or potassium/sodium citrate—urinary pH was associated with long‐term survival.

Stereoselective Construction of Benzo‐Fused Tetrahydropyrrole Thiazines From Saccharin

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Organic Chemistry, EarlyView.
Saccharin was used as a template to construct a series of 10a‐substituted, benzo‐fused, pyrrolo thiazinone dioxides. Thereafter, diastereo‐divergent 10‐keto reduction gave either diastereomeric alcohol in a process that did not rely on the substituent at 10a's identity.

Proteomic signatures of equine dental tooth tissues in ageing and disease

open access: yesEquine Veterinary Journal, EarlyView.
Abstract Background Ageing and dental disease in horses lead to structural and functional deterioration of dental tissues, yet their molecular signatures remain poorly characterised. Understanding how these processes alter the protein composition of enamel, dentin, cementum and pulp is essential for improving equine oral health and identifying ...
