Engineered B7‐H3 Binding in Modular Gp2 Miniproteins
ABSTRACT B7‐H3, an important immune checkpoint modulator of T‐cell function, is a tumor vasculature biomarker and is overexpressed in a variety of cancers. Its expression is associated with tumor growth, metastasis, and poor clinical prognosis, which makes B7‐H3 an appealing target for diagnostics and therapeutics.

Carbon dioxide (CO(2)) is among the most important gases for all organisms. Its reversible interconversion to bicarbonate (HCO(3) (-)) reaches equilibrium spontaneously, but slowly, and can be accelerated by a ubiquitous group of enzymes called carbonic ...

Cold atmospheric plasma‐mediated tumor microenvironment remodeling for cancer treatment
Schematic presentation of CAP‐mediated TME remodeling. This review summarizes recent efforts in cold atmospheric plasma (CAP) application in cancer treatment, highlighting the anticancer potential of CAP, molecular mechanisms, and future perspectives for further improvement and clinical translation.

The "Click-tail approach" for the design and synthesis of novel carbonic anhydrase inhibitors [PDF]
The Carbonic Anhydrases (CAs) are a family of zinc enzymes deputed to the interconversion of carbonic dioxide to hydrogen carbonate. Herein, we report on a sustainable modular strategy, also called "clicktail approach", used to obtain two series of 4-(4 ...

Construction of a CO2‐Fixing Compartment Using a Shape‐Transforming DNA Scaffold
A shape‐transforming DNA scaffold encapsulates RuBisCO within a controllable, self‐contacting compartment that mimics the carboxysome. The scaffold switches between open and closed states, enabling direct comparison of identical enzyme populations in different microenvironments.

Carbonic Anhydrases: Role in pH Control and Cancer
The pH of the tumor microenvironment drives the metastatic phenotype and chemotherapeutic resistance of tumors. Understanding the mechanisms underlying this pH-dependent phenomenon will lead to improved drug delivery and allow the identification of new ...

Asymmetric Reduction of Unactivated Alkenes
Unactivated alkenes rank among the most inert functional groups in synthesis and their selective reduction remains challenging. This Review charts the evolution from classical metal‐catalyzed hydrogenation to radical hydrogen atom transfer (HAT) and emerging biocatalytic concepts, highlighting how complementary mechanistic strategies, including the ...
