Fabrication and Application of Isotopically Labelled Gold Arrays for Multiplexed Peptide Analysis [PDF]
A new array-based technology for the simultaneous capture, chemical labelling and mass spectrometry analysis of peptides is presented. Isotopically labelled self-assembled monolayer (SAM) gold arrays are constructed and used simultaneously to capture and

Redox-Active Metallacarborane-Decorated Octasilsesquioxanes. Electrochemical and Thermal Properties [PDF]
Polyanionic and electroactive hybrids based on octasilsesquioxanes bearing metallacarborane units are developed. They show remarkable solubility in organic solvents and outstanding thermal stability.

Access to cationic polyhedral carboranes via dynamic cage surgery with N-heterocyclic carbenes
In comparison to their neutral or anionic counterparts, examples of cationic boron clusters remain scarce. Here, the authors prepare a variety of cationic polyhedral boranes by reacting closo-10-vertex carboranes with N-heterocyclic carbenes; the ...

B-12(SCN)(12)(-): An Ultrastable Weakly Coordinating Dianion [PDF]
Stable dianions that are weakly coordinating with metal ions are not common. In this work, we show that the thiocyanate SCN- anion, known for its detoxification property of cyanide CN- and antidegradation property of perovskite solar cell materials, can ...

The 10B‐enriched monocarbonyl analog of curcumin (BMAC) 10B‐9 enables site‐specific Boron Neutron Capture Therapy (BNCT) on amyloid‐β (Aβ) fibrils. Neutron irradiation induces histidine oxidation and fibril destabilization, as revealed by 1H‐NMR and FESEM analyses.

Chelating N-heterocyclic carbene-carboranes offer flexible ligand coordination to IrIII, RhIII and RuII: effect of ligand cyclometallation in catalytic transfer hydrogenation [PDF]
Imidazolium salts linked by an ethyl tether to closo-dicarbadodecaboranes were reacted with [IrCp*Cl2]2, [RhCp*Cl2]2 or [Ru(p-cymene)Cl2]2 in the presence of Ag2O to prepare complexes of the type [MCp*(NHC)Cl2] (M = Ir, Rh; NHC = N-heterocyclic carbene ...

Integrating interpretable machine learning with the fixed‐potential method reveals a novel mechanism: the catalytic activity of the electrochemical nitrogen reduction reaction is governed by partial charge transfer, induced by variations in the intermediate potential of zero charge under constant potential.

Superatom Distortion Induces Triferroicity and Spin Splitting in Two‐Dimensional Antiferromagnets
The incorporation of superatoms into a 2D square lattice induces symmetry breaking, thereby enabling concurrent coupling among magnetism, ferroelectricity, and ferroelasticity. This strategy achieves triferroic behavior—characterized by spin‐split antiferromagnetic ground states—and offers a viable pathway toward energy‐efficient spintronic devices ...
