3,7-Dichloroquinoline-8-carboxylic acid
The title compound (trade name: quinclorac), C10H5Cl2NO2, was crystallized from a dimethyl sulfoxide solution. Quinclorac molecules are packed mainly via π–π stacking interactions between neighbouring heterocycles (interplanar distance: 3.

Synthesis of 3-Bromo-4-phenylisothiazole-5-carboxylic Acid and 3-Bromoisothiazole-5-carboxylic Acid
Reactions of 3-bromo-4-phenylisothiazole-5-carboxamide and 3-bromoisothiazole-5-carboxamide with NaNO2 (4 equiv.), in TFA, at ca. 0 °C gave the carboxylic acid products in 99% and 95% yields, respectively. The two compounds were fully characterized.

This study explores a process chain to produce dispersoid‐strengthened CuCr1Zr for applications requiring high strength and conductivity. Using gas‐atomized powder and copper‐plated alumina nanoparticles, additive manufacturing is performed via powder bed based additive manufacturing with green and red lasers, followed by heat treatment.

Trends in pKa Values for polyprotic carboxylic acids [PDF]
In this work we have reported the pKa values for straight chain (without branches) oligomers of Acrylic acid using CBS-QB3 gas phase energies with solvation free energies from CPCM/HF 6-31G(d) and SMD/B3LYP (2df,p). We have found that the negative log of the first acid dissociation constant decreases with the chain length.

A study of aliphatic amino acids using simulated vibrational circular dichroism and Raman optical activity spectra [PDF]
Vibrational optical activity (VOA) spectra, such as vibrational circular dichroism (VCD) and Raman optical activity (ROA) spectra, of aliphatic amino acids are simulated using density functional theory (DFT) methods in both gas phase (neutral form) and solution (zwitterionic form), together with their respective infrared (IR) and Raman spectra of the ...
