Carcass characteristics of heavyweight crossbred lambs. I. Growth and carcass measurements
Australian Journal of Agricultural Research, 1979An experiment was conducted at Temora Agricultural Research Station to assess the potential for producing heavyweight lamb carcasses from breeds currently used in the prime lamb industry. Growth to slaughter, dressing percentage and carcass measurements of lambs from six breed crosses were compared over a range of carcass weights.

Canadian Journal of Animal Science, 1994The carcass traits of 486 steers representing four breed types (British purebred, British crossbred, European crossbred, European purebred) were evaluated. Carcasses from European purebreds and crossbreds were heavier and leaner than those from British purebreds and crossbreds.

Carcass Characteristics of Holstein and Hereford steers
The Journal of Agricultural Science, 1964Two groups of steer carcasses, eight Holsteins and eight Herefords, were compared in carcass traits. Although the quality of the meat (colour, texture, firmness, marbling and maturity) was comparable for both groups, the Holstein carcasses were heavier, older in chronological age and showed less thickness, plumpness and general compactness.
