Phthalazine Sulfonamide Derivatives as Carbonic Anhydrase Inhibitors. Synthesis, Biological and in silico Evaluation

Twenty‐two phthalazine derivatives are designed, synthesized, and assessed against four human CA isoforms, showing notable activity against hCA IX and hCA I. Selective compounds exhibit a selectivity index up to 13.8. Docking analysis reveals active site interactions, and anticancer effects are tested on two breast cancer cell lines.
